ChatGPT Prompting Cheat Sheet

We love these easy to read quick guides!

Hi, Scott Lovejoy and Brandon Goldberg here with another weekly tip for improving your life and your business with AI! Our focus for November is better prompting! This week, we’re sharing an awesome ChatGPT Prompting Cheat Sheet.

This Cheat Sheet has a lot of great information. You can give this to any ChatGPT beginner and immediately they will start getting better results from ChatGPT. This Cheat Sheet comes from Artifact, posted by user Hub Hip.

Tones and format are especially important. Tone is dependent upon who your target audience is - are you targeting an industry that requires more formality? Are you writing a social media post or sales email where it’s commonly advised to write closer to a 5th grade reading level? Do you want to add humor? Many times I find myself replying to a ChatGPT output with “Simplify the wording” or “Make it more formal”.

What about format? Format can drastically change the output. For example, telling ChatGPT that you’re creating a social media post generally results in a lot of emoji’s and hashtags in the output. However adding in both tone and format here can eliminate or minimize these. “I’m creating a professional social media post for my _____ business…” is a great way to start your prompt. “Create a template for a presentation on _____” is another useful prompt - ChatGPT will give you a breakdown of the content you should include for each slide of your presentation.

What are your tips for ChatGPT prompting? Is there anything exclusive to your industry that wasn’t covered here? We’d love to feature your advice in a future TechWave Newsletter!
